In Memoriam: Dr. Gilbert V. Levin - April 24, 1924 - July 26, 2021
It is with great sadness that on July 26, 2021, Gilbert Victor Levin, NASA Viking Lander 1 and 2 astrobiologist
and ICAMSR Scientific Advisor, passed away at the age of 97.

In Memoriam: Dr. Patricia Ann Straat - March 28, 1936 - October 23, 2020
Dr. Patricia Ann Straat, the first woman to look for life on Mars as part of three NASA spacecraft missions
(Mariner 9 in 1971 and the twin Viking Landers in 1976) died on October 23rd after a long struggle with lung cancer.
